lol I have to be at work in the morning and of course, I can't sleep >_< I have a paper to write that's due in a couple weeks AND a midterm to study for, but I can't even concentrate to do either wah! I've been this way a lot lately(well, always been a night owl, just not this bad:(...)*sigh* I guess I just have too many things on my mind-my mind's been traveling into the past more and more lately and also I can't seem to retain most of what I've learned in classes, I can't get motivated to study for classes, work on my language studies, or anything else for that matter, and anyway, when I do, can't even concentrate on what I'm trying to study-it just seems like little by little I'm losing my mental capacity-I was an honor student all throughout middle and high school and not being able to always understand or remember things has really been chipping away at the little bit of confidence I do have....*sigh* grr...need to stop feeling sorry for myself >_< I'm sure things'll get better in time(hopefully :))

Hmm...lol yup totally accurate...I've actually been trying to figure out what to do w/my life, and actually, I've finally got a plan(It's quite satifying to finally be more focused)...though, if I want a PhD, I need more money!!!! wah-being broke sucks(and being "too rich" to receive financial aid is a bit frustrating)...
Since I've realized that majoring in foreign languages won't guarantee me a job, I've decided that after I get my CPhT, I'll probably work on getting a B.S. in biotechnology(and probably double minor in Ger. and Jpn.-though, I'm at a loss at finding nearby schools that offer BOTH biotech and Japanese >_<)-I've always loved genetics and chemistry, so I think medical research or lab work will be a perfect fit :) All, I need to do now is to get motivated to study....yup, off to do my massive stack of med. terminology homework!

Things shall get better...

I haven't made an update in a while...lol like anyone reads it anyway :)....Last Friday, I went to see Chronicles of Narnia with some friends, YAY! I was so happy that it didn't suck :) Though, I did realize that I need to try to get over my shyness-when I'm just talking to one person I'm okay, but I always seem to get nervous and clam up around a lot of people. I feel bad about it 'cause I know it must make me seem like a snobby b**ch :(...Hmm, maybe that'll be one of my New Year's resolutions....

Today I went in to work for a couple of hours to pass out candy...It was hilarious how many adults were trick or treating-of course about 75% were trying to use their baby as a front-'cmon does anyone really think a 2-3month old is gonna eat that snickers in their bag?!
But anyway, someone on the Soka Gakkai community posted Pres. Ikeda's daily encouragement for the 27th and it really hit home:
